Latasha Baydar, MA, LMFT

Latasha Baydar, MA is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Huntersville, North Carolina. She completed her Master of Arts in Christian Counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Latasha never imagined she would ever go back to school to pursue a degree in counseling. Yet in 2015, Latasha realized she had a natural relatability that allowed her to form lasting and authentic relationships. Her compassionate and empathic personality created a safe space for those around her to discuss their vulnerabilities. It was then that Latasha decided it was time to use those talents and began her counseling journey.

Latasha has always had a passion for couples, and families. There is a quote from Melissa Helser that says, “If you can change the way people do family you can change the world.” This quote has inspired her and increased her desire to join with individuals, couples, and families to create positive change. So much of who we are has been influenced by the families we grew up in. As a systems-based therapist, Latasha believes in exploring the various factors that influence a person’s value and being. Latasha has always been one to see the best in situations and people.

“One of the things that help to make me an effective counselor is my ability to laugh at myself and with others. I believe that laughter is another way to love people. Both joy and fun can usually be found when laughter appears. I love the delight that lingers after a good laugh with those around you. Life can be hard, and sometimes people can get stuck in those tough moments. It’s a privilege to be able to introduce joy and softness into those dark and difficult moments.”

Latasha has experience working with couples, individuals, and adolescents across various populations and settings. She has helped clients overcome emotional challenges, relationship struggles, and severe mental distress.
